Cementing Your Legacy With Stickers and Labels

Building a brand doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time, dedication, and the right marketing moves. One of the simplest ways you can create buzz for your brand is with the use of custom stickers and labels. It’s an ingenious way of injecting branding opportunities everywhere. Whether you’re selling retail products, services, or experiences, branding still plays a big part in getting noticed and creating a following. Below are a few tips to keep in mind to create stickers and labels that'll ensure your product or service gets noticed:

  • First impressions last – More often than not, seeing your sticker on the shelf is the first time potential customers will notice you, especially for new brands. Make this fleeting moment count. Design your stickers and labels to take advantage of this split-second glance. You can do this with a gorgeous logo, an impeccable call-to-action, or eye-catching colors.
  • Consistency is key – As we said, building a brand takes time. It doesn’t do you any favors by constantly changing brand elements, colors, or even the logo itself. Improve name recall by bombarding your audience with graphics that are recognizable and reminiscent of your brand. Prioritize a design that’s uniquely yours and build upon it. Print stickers, labels, boxes, and everything else with your logo to ensure that it sticks to mind.
  • Communicate to the right audience – Adding animal characters to a vegan product doesn’t make sense. Nor does putting a bright red label on meditation essential oils. Part of branding is knowing your audience and how best to communicate with them. Oils, for example, call for calm and serene colors to best represent tranquility. Use labels that are white, green, or light blue. Know what your customers are looking for and what resonates with them. Don’t alienate your base while trying to reinvent the wheel.
  • Be creative – Another effective way of utilizing stickers and labels with branding is to add a creative spin. It could be with overall design or in execution. Commission an artist and collaborate to create special edition versions of your products. You can also create contests where the winning entries are hidden away by stickers. When they peel off the sticker, they’ll see if they win something from you.

Make Stickers and Labels Work Overtime

The great thing about stickers and labels, especially with those that are durable and professionally printed, is that they last for a long time. This means that these branding tools do the heavy work for you non-stop, seven days a week.

  • Spread it – Lots of people collect stickers. As long as your sticker or label looks great, people would want it and place it on their personal items – on their cars, laptops, water bottles, and so on. With a great design that begs to be noticed, viewers will ask about your brand or will even seek you out. This is influencer marketing at its finest.
  • Let them find you – Have you ever bought something that’s really good but couldn’t find any other information regarding the product? We’ve all been there. Don’t forget to add your brand name to your stickers and labels. Even if you’re intentionally being coy and mysterious with your brand marketing, adding a website, social media links, or even a QR code is a good practice to do. This way, even if years have passed, people can still find out more about you.
  • Create a seal – Sealing retail products or giveaways with stickers and labels ensures that at the bare minimum, they’ll see your brand and logo before opening. By adding this extra layer, you’re able to add another layer of branding to your packaging. This works especially well with giveaways to make sure that wherever it lands, your branding is communicated, whether they open your product immediately, a month after, or even in a year’s time.
