Owner Danielle came from a long line of Jamaican cake ladies. To that, she fondly shares, “It’s safe to say that baking is in my blood.”
She grew up in Miami surrounded by an eclectic mix of fruits, foods, and flavors. Her unique experiences and family traditions served as inspirations for the bold flavors of her cookies. But those did not come to her overnight.
Danielle spent years testing recipes and bringing baked goods to parties until one of her vegan friends said, “I wish you’d make something that we both could enjoy”. A simple wish, a fond request, that became a pivotal moment in her business’ story.
“To my surprise, I loved creating desserts that were delicious, passed my taste test, and fit the criteria of being vegan. And so with my last name being Tubbs and my college nickname being “Tubby”, Tubby’s taste was born!”

Maxxitreats for the Furmoms Who Adore Their Pets
Mother’s Day is a celebration of motherhood; the moms, grandmas, and mother figures who nurtured us in all or certain aspects of our lives.
But, wait… How about the furmoms? Settle down, we did not forget about them. In fact, here’s Maxxitreats to delight the “hoomans” with your thoughtful present, not for them but for their furkids!

Marilyn worked in the corporate world before stepping out of her comfort zone to start Maxxitreats, which was inspired and named after her dog Maxx, a cockapoo.
Maxx loves company. He enjoys playing with his toys and is always excited to welcome visitors but doesn’t like it when they leave. In 2016, Marilyn found a whole new appreciation for her adorable dog:
“I was faced with a serious illness not knowing what tomorrow would bring. Not having Maxx by my side was difficult. When I finally came home from battling APL Leukemia (blood cancer), his excitement was all I needed to push through my days ahead.”
Maxx has always been caring and loving but even more so when Marilyn needed him the most. These days, he sticks by her side, ever-present in every activity.
“Even when I am getting clothes out of the dryer. LOL”
