Size also matters, especially in how you are going to use it and the results you want. Here’s a handy guide on popular poster sizes, and the applications that work best for each:

• 11” x 17” – The smallest and standard size for pinup posters. These are great for promoting events while not needing a lot of space like billboards and lamp posts.
• 18” x 24” – Use them for advertisements and promoting sporting events, concerts, or festivals.
• 24” x 36” and 27” x 39” –Ideal for commercial advertisements. Retail store movie posters are typically printed on 24” x 36” size while art shows, concerts and festivals use the 27” x 39” size.

1. Budget – Do you need 1,000 bulk posters for an album release? Are you looking to print your poster on standard paper or fabric sticky back posters? The cost varies depending on the material and quantity you choose.
2. Specifications – Large format posters come in high gloss and semi-gloss finish, while others come in matte. Some paper stocks have a warm (red) or cool (blue) tone. All these can affect what the final print will look like.
